FMC — The Incubator
Accessibility.
The FMC is a celebration space for everyone — and that includes this website. We build it to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, a magnifier, or reduced motion, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we do
- Keyboard — every link, button, form field, dialog and the booking calendar can be operated without a mouse, with a visible focus outline on each control.
- Screen readers — pages use proper landmarks and headings, form fields have real labels, icon-only buttons are labelled, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive tech.
- Contrast & text — body text is at least 16px and colour pairings target a 4.5:1 contrast ratio or better.
- Motion — if your device asks for reduced motion, our animations stand down. The site is fully readable with animation — and JavaScript — turned off.
- Touch — tap targets are at least 44×44px, and the layout works down to small phone screens without sideways scrolling.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never “done.” We test as we build and fix issues as we find them. If part of the site is hard to use with your setup, that's a bug to us — please tell us.
